Something I scribbled after being inspired by e.e. cummings’ “since feelings are first”

is your heart drowning in mercury.

But let that be for Tomorrow.

If love was anything, it was this.

It’s a soft tangled ball of yarn.

Dedicated to the past you, who left me when I needed you to stay most.
