In Indonesian language, there is a term "gotong-royong" that refers to the "togetherness in mutually accomplishing a task." The main visual is a physical framed piece and was inspired by the spirit of community and perseverance of penguin colonies trudging through snowstorms. The poetry piece was inspired by the social courtship practices that penguins have been studied to engage in, where penguins gift their partner a "perfect pebble" to show their interest. Some penguins have been observed "jealous" when they are unable to find a "perfect" pebble (or shells) for a partner they are interested in courting. No theft was involved in the collecting of the shells and flowers.
